Duties
Responsible for evaluating patients to diagnose and treat disorders of the teeth, preventing tooth decay, gum disease, bone destruction, and chewing and digestive difficulties. Examine patients’ teeth, gums, and surrounding tissue to diagnose disease, injury, and decay to plan appropriate treatment. Educate patients about dental health and maintenance of oral hygiene. Perform comprehensive diagnosis and treatment planning for patient’s teeth and mouth tissue. Execute general restorative dental procedures. Perform extractions and restore existing dental implants. Provide rotary endodontic therapy. Perform gingivectomy and tissue troughing using the Sirona diode sirolaser. Perform quadrant dentistry and read/evaluate conebeam 3D CT radiographs. Design 3D crowns using PlanMeca and Cerec. Provide technical-only supervision of dental hygienists, dental assistants, and other staff.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: D.D.S or D.M.D. – Dentistry; will accept equivalent foreign degree.
Must hold State of Michigan Dentist license, Controlled Substance license, and
Drug Enforcement Agency certification.
Education and/or experience must include:
1. Rotary endodontic procedures.
2. Laser dentistry.
3. Surgical extractions, implant placement, and restoration.
4. 3D crown design in both the PlanMeca and Cerec systems.
5. Reading and evaluating conebeam 3D CT radiographs.
